Mazuri LS Diet is a specially formulated food for herbivorous land tortoises, particularly Mediterranean tortoises (Testudo hermanni, Testudo graeca, Testudo marginata), as well as many exotic species such as the sulcata tortoise and the leopard tortoise.

Its formula is primarily based on ground timothy hay, an ingredient naturally high in fiber and low in starch, perfectly suited to the digestive system of herbivorous tortoises. 🐢

Instructions for Use

Mazuri LS Diet pellets can be offered in several ways:

• Dry, placed directly in the feeding dish and left available for your tortoises.

• Lightly moistened, by soaking them in water for a few seconds or lightly spraying them with water. This may help tortoises accept the food more easily, especially when introducing it for the first time.

Thanks to its higher fiber content and lower starch level, Mazuri LS Diet can be offered more frequently than the classic Mazuri formula.

Recommended Feeding Amount

Provide approximately 1 to 4% of the tortoise’s body weight per day. 🐢

Recommendations

• It is not necessary to moisten the pellets. However, lightly moistening them may help some tortoises get used to this food.
• If the pellets are moistened, remove any uneaten food within the same day to prevent spoilage.
• Provide high-quality forage daily, such as grass hay, along with fresh, clean water.
• Clean food and water dishes regularly.
